What World Strategies believes advocacy – the art of influencing decisions –
is a core skill for any organisation and its staff.
The art of advocacy is the core of What World Strategies work and passion. Our years of experience has given us a deep understanding of advocacy and the importance of crafting impactful change.
We work on two key aspects of advocacy: strategy setting and team building. For strategy setting, we work with clients to understanding how change is made in their sector, map stakeholders and craft intelligent, impactful strategies. At the same time, we share skills to develop the agents of change – the organisation’s staff. We help train advocates, build teams and development movements of partners to help deliver the strategy and achieve the organisation’s goals.
Our aim is to ensure clients not only with effective strategies, but an informed and engaged staff skilled in the art of advocacy.
We specialise in designing, implementing and tracking change strategies. We work with clients to explore, design, and implement these strategies to deliver effective change whether targeting a key global event like the G20, or influencing change at the national or regional level.
What World Strategies has over 20 years experience building teams to tackle complex challenges. Creating effective teams to deliver an organization's aims is critical for any strategy or plan. What World Strategies can help build, equip and support teams both internally and externally with partners.
Advocacy is an important skill for employees to use internally - to get their idea off the ground, or externally to help deliver a policy or change the landscape for your organisation. What World Strategies helps organisations inform their employees with advocacy skills and training.
We help organisations achieve their strategic objectives by allying with partners and building movements. Movements of allies working to a common outcome are powerful and critical elements of advocacy today. We do this through landscape mapping, ally outreach, convening and facilitating partners, and event management.
What World Strategies was established in 2009 and since that time has worked with a wide range of partners from foundations and international organisations to NGOs and the private sector. We have built teams that work across continents and sectors; drafted strategies that have impacted the outcomes of global events like the G7 and UN events and mapped and analyzed advocacy impact at the global and national level. Along the way, we have developed a deep understanding of advocacy and how change is made and we are keen to share this experience with clients and partners.
What World Strategies was founded by Kel Currah who leads the company and its small staff as well as a wide roster of experienced professionals brought onboard to help deliver our client’s outstanding projects.
